In 2006, recognizing the need to preserve the history of the Greenacres area, several residents joined together and the Greenacres Historical Society was formed. Their ultimate goal was to have a museum showcasing our memorabilia. This goal was achieved in 2008 with the establishment of the Greenacres Historical Museum.
The museum is housed in a building that served as a firehouse many years ago.
Entering the museum is like a walk back in time. There is a replica of a schoolroom, a pharmacy, a general store, and the interior of a log cabin. We have recently completed our Seminole Room.
Come visit your memories.
